I know there has already been so much discussion about the NFN, but instead of it becoming clearer, I am more confused than ever.
At the last "Congress of LBU Leaders" held on April 19, 2010, questions were asked about the NFN but were not answered. Would someone please explained how I can get the answers I need. One question that was asked was how does a member contact the NFN.
We all know that the NFN had listed its address on the 2009 LM2 to the NYSNA location in Latham. Now conveniently, NYSNA changed the location of the NFN address to the Washington State Nurses Association (another state in this so-called NFN) in Seattle Washington. Here is the contact information that is listed on the NFN website: National Federation of Nurses, 575 Andover Park West, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98188 | 1-877-636-1231 (1-877-NFN-1231).
However, don't be fooled. Be sure to check out the NFN.org website and note the following:
1. First of all, you can barely make out the contact information at the bottom of the home page, but it's there. Do they not want us to see it?
2. The NFN now has the exact same address as the WSNA. What's that about?
3. All of a sudden, the NFN now has a contact phone number but I invite you all to call this number and let me know if you think it is a legitimate phone number or not. The number is listed above. When my friend called the toll-free number, a woman answered by saying"hello". Is this proper phone etiquette for a so-called national organization? I think ALL THE MEMBERS SHOULD CALL THIS TOLL-FREE NUMBER TO GET ANSWERS TO OUR QUESTIONS!
I look forward to getting feedback for the group.
